Israeli cybersecurity startup Noma Security has secured $100 million in fresh funding to scale its AI agent protection platform—marking one of the year’s largest investments in AI-focused cyber defense.
Tel Aviv–based Noma Security has closed a $100 million Series B funding round, bringing its total capital raised to $132 million since emerging from stealth in late 2024. The round was led by U.S.-based Evolution Equity Partners, with continued support from Ballistic Ventures and Glilot Capital. New investors Databricks Ventures and Cyber Club London also participated, reflecting growing investor confidence in AI security startups.
The deal builds on the company’s earlier $32 million Series A, announced in November 2024. According to Noma, the new capital will be used to accelerate its go-to-market efforts across North America, EMEA, and the Middle East, and to expand its R&D hub in Tel Aviv. The startup currently employs about 40 people between Israel and the U.S.
Noma Security Defending AI Agents from Within
Noma is tackling a fast-emerging cybersecurity challenge: protecting agentic AI systems—software agents capable of autonomous actions like writing code, managing IT systems, or engaging customers. These agents, while powerful, introduce new threat surfaces: prompt injection attacks, rogue decision-making, logic corruption, and unauthorized system access.
To address this, Noma has built an end-to-end AI security platform that allows enterprises to:
- Discover and classify AI assets,
- Prioritize risks,
- Red-team agent behavior in real time,
- Apply runtime protection and governance layers.
“We’re building purpose-built defenses for AI agents, not retrofitting old tools,” said Niv Braun, CEO and co-founder of Noma. He noted the company’s platform has already been adopted by Fortune 500 companies in sectors like finance, life sciences, retail, and technology.
Investors agree the company is striking while the iron is hot. “There’s a critical need for agentic AI protection,” said Richard Seewald, Managing Partner at Evolution Equity. “Noma’s timing, team, and platform make it the clear category leader.”
A Booming Market for AI Security
Noma’s surge comes amid a broader upswing in Israeli cybersecurity funding and M&A activity. Recent headline deals include Alphabet’s $32 billion acquisition of Wiz and Palo Alto Networks’ $25 billion takeover of CyberArk Software—pointing to growing global demand for firms securing advanced, AI-driven systems.
According to Noma, its annual recurring revenue (ARR) has grown more than 1,300% year over year. The company also cites research from UBS forecasting that over half of enterprises will adopt AI agents by 2026, with that number reaching 83% by 2028. With such rapid adoption, security solutions purpose-built for AI autonomy are not just a luxury—they’re a necessity.
In less than two years, Noma Security has evolved from a stealth startup to a global player in AI cybersecurity. With its robust platform, strong enterprise traction, and $100 million in fresh capital, Noma is positioning itself to lead the next wave of cybersecurity—where protecting autonomous AI agents is mission-critical.
