The 2024 award recipients come from diverse roles, holding country-specific, regional, and global responsibilities. Their contributions range from strengthening enterprise resilience to pioneering new cybersecurity practices within their sectors.
Celebrating Achievements Across the Region
This year’s nominations featured participants from eight countries: Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Winners were announced during a high-profile awards ceremony held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, attended by over 400 executives across the region.
The event, supported by leading partners including FPT, IBM, Digital Realty, Blue Yonder, and AMD, not only spotlighted the achievements of individual leaders but also showcased their impact on organizational security strategies. Many of these leaders oversee expansive security portfolios, covering entire groups or multiple regions, reflecting their pivotal role in safeguarding digital ecosystems.
In addition to the individual accolades, the awards program included the Business Value and Leadership awards, underscoring the dual emphasis on technical expertise and strategic influence. These categories highlight how cybersecurity leaders are not only protecting assets but also driving business innovation and transformation.
Building a Stronger Security Community
A significant event highlight was the induction of 10 members into the inaugural CSO Security Council, a community initiative aligned with the prestigious CSO Hall of Fame. This invitation-only council brings together thought leaders in cybersecurity and risk management who are recognized for their expertise, strategic vision, and ability to drive meaningful change.
The council serves as a platform for these leaders to collaborate, share insights, and guide the cybersecurity community through emerging challenges. Their inclusion in this exclusive group underscores their influence in shaping the future of cybersecurity in the region.
The CSO30 ASEAN 2024 Awards and the CSO Security Council underscore the growing recognition of cybersecurity as a cornerstone of modern business resilience.
