Samsung Launches Galaxy Buds 3 FE With Noise Cancellation

Samsung Launches Galaxy Buds 3 FE With Noise Cancellation | CyberPro Magazine

Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Buds 3 FE (Fan Edition ), its latest budget-friendly wireless earbuds designed to bring premium features to a broader audience. The earbuds adopt a refreshed stemmed design, enhanced audio quality, and active noise cancellation (ANC) at a lower price point, marking the company’s continued push to expand its wearables lineup.

The Galaxy Buds 3 FE will be available in the United States starting September 4 in black and gray, retailing for $149.99. While more expensive than the Galaxy Buds FE launched two years ago at $99.99, the new edition incorporates several improvements that Samsung believes justify the higher price.

Design and Features Inspired by Flagship Models

Departing from the rounded “blob” design of earlier models, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE adopts a stemmed aesthetic similar to Apple’s AirPods and Samsung’s own Galaxy Buds 3 lineup released in 2024. This change aligns the budget option with the look and feel of Samsung’s premium models while retaining affordability.

The earbuds boast IP54 dust and water resistance, ensuring durability against everyday elements such as rain or workouts. Active noise cancellation, long considered a high-end feature, comes built-in, giving listeners the ability to block out distractions.

Battery life is competitive: six hours of listening with ANC enabled (extending to 24 hours with the charging case) and 8.5 hours without ANC (30 hours total with case). Talk time is listed at four hours per charge, which can stretch to 18 hours with case support.

Integration With Galaxy AI

Samsung is also emphasizing the integration of its Galaxy AI ecosystem into the Buds 3 FE. Users can activate features such as voice translation and interpretation through a long press or by saying “Hey Google.” This provides access to Gemini or Samsung’s own Galaxy AI Interpreter app, allowing real-time translation of conversations in different languages.

Other features include:

  • Ambient sound mode for transparency and situational awareness.
  • Voice isolation technology to improve clarity on calls in noisy environments.
  • Find My Earbuds support to locate misplaced devices.
  • Auto device switching for seamless pairing between Samsung smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

By adding these capabilities, Samsung aims to create a consistent user experience across its hardware and software ecosystem, encouraging brand loyalty among Galaxy device owners.

Market Position and Pricing Strategy

Priced at $149.99, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE slot between Samsung’s true budget earbuds and its premium offerings. The price is $50 higher than the 2023 Galaxy Buds FE but still significantly lower than flagship earbuds from Apple and other competitors.

The company appears to be targeting consumers who want a balance of affordability and advanced features such as ANC and AI integration without committing to the higher price of Samsung’s top-tier audio products.

Industry analysts note that this positioning may help Samsung capture a larger share of the wireless earbuds market, particularly as demand grows for midrange devices that do not compromise on essential features.

Availability

The Galaxy Buds 3 FE will officially launch in the U.S. on September 4, 2025, with two color options: black and gray. Preorders are expected to begin shortly, with Samsung promoting the model as the most feature-rich Fan Edition earbuds to date.

As competition intensifies among audio brands, Samsung is banking on the Galaxy Buds 3 FE to appeal to consumers who value both design and function at a mid-tier price point. With enhanced durability, long battery life, and Galaxy AI integration, the company is aiming to strengthen its foothold in the highly competitive wireless audio market.
