Developing detailed internal policies can guide users on what information to avoid uploading based on each app’s data usage declarations.

Understanding and tracking T&Cs is further complicated by the proliferation of Shadow AI—unauthorized or unsanctioned AI applications used within organizations. To manage this, companies should streamline the number of applications in use, promoting transparency and understanding of AI risks through open discussions with employees about the services they use and their purposes.
