Dataminr Launches AI Platform to Enhance Cyber Defense

Dataminr Cyber Defense Platform Launches to Enhance AI-Driven Security | CyberPro Magazine

Dataminr has unveiled a new AI-driven Dataminr cyber defense platform designed to help enterprise security teams detect threats earlier and respond faster. The platform combines real-time external intelligence with internal security data to assess risks, measure potential financial impact, and automate response workflows before incidents escalate.

Real-Time Intelligence and Agentic AI Strengthen Security

The Dataminr cyber defense platform, branded as Dataminr for Cyber Defense, integrates ThreatConnect, a threat intelligence solution acquired by the company. By linking external threat signals with internal organizational data, security teams can quickly identify and prioritize risks. The system uses agentic and predictive AI to continuously analyze signals from external sources and an organization’s internal environment, helping security operations centers move from reactive alerts to proactive defense.

Security teams today face a surge in threat signals, reportedly up 225 percent year over year. This growth makes it increasingly difficult to separate meaningful risks from routine alerts. Dataminr emphasizes that businesses must go beyond traditional alert-based models and adopt proactive, secure-by-design strategies to prepare for and respond to threats effectively.

The platform introduces three AI-driven solutions to enhance threat detection and risk management. The first, Dataminr Client-Tailored Threat Intelligence, filters massive streams of external threat data to highlight risks relevant to a specific organization. The second, Dataminr Agentic TI Ops, combines this intelligence with internal and commercial data sources, automating workflows to investigate threats, enrich context, and distribute findings without heavy analyst effort. The third, Dataminr Predictive Threat Exposure Management, quantifies cyber risk in financial terms and continuously monitors vulnerabilities and exposure levels.

AI Models Prioritize Threats Based on Business Impact

By linking intelligence directly to business risk, the Dataminr cyber defense platform allows organizations to prioritize actions based on measurable impact rather than the volume of alerts. This approach enables security teams to focus on the threats most likely to cause material disruption. Dataminr’s AI architecture includes more than fifty-five proprietary large language models and analyzes data from over one million public sources. Automated intelligence agents can shorten investigation cycles from hours to minutes, allowing teams to act quickly and prevent costly incidents.

Dataminr CEO Ted Bailey said the platform represents a shift from static threat feeds to dynamic, business-focused defense. The system connects external intelligence to internal posture and financial considerations, giving organizations clarity on which threats matter most. By automating detection and response, Dataminr for Cyber Defense aims to help teams reduce noise and take immediate action to protect operations.

The Dataminr cyber defense platform is designed to integrate into existing security tools and infrastructure, providing a seamless enhancement to current cybersecurity practices. Organizations adopting this solution can improve resilience, accelerate response times, and better quantify the impact of potential threats.

Dataminr is showcasing the Dataminr cyber defense platform at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, highlighting how AI and automated intelligence agents can transform enterprise security operations and strengthen overall cyber defense.
